I am pretty sure most of my family and friends have now tried fried OREO, and if they have it is because they had them at my house. It is one of those treats that you can literally have one or two of and at that point you have fully enjoyed yourself and probably over indulged! So today I thought I would give you all a tutorial of how you can make them and how I packaged up a little gift for Christmas of a little fried OREO kit.
1 1/2 cup pancake batter
2/3 cup water
1 box of Mondelez C Pack Double Stuf OREO
Make the pancake batter the consistency of as if you were making pancakes. While you are making the batter have the oil heating up on the stove or in your deep fryer. Then dip the OREO in the pancake batter and place it (carefully) into the hot oil. Make sure you open the whole box of the Mondelez C Pack double stuf OREO so they are ready to go when your fingers are covered in batter. I use tongs to take them out but as you notice the bottom part in the oil starts to brown then you will flip it. Place the fried OREO onto a paper towel on a plate and sprinkle powdered sugar over them. The powdered sugar kind of melts because of the OREO might still having a little oil on them. That is ok though because they still taste amazing! The best way to describe the taste is; they taste like funnel cake with an OREO.
