This time of year is such a wonderful time of year! All the goodies, celebration, excitement, family and friend time. We can't forget about the parties. There are so many holiday parties it seems like we are heading out the door to a party or even hosting a party a couple times a week, at least! Unless someone has hosted a party this time of year, they don't really understand all the work that goes into it. I am not just talking about the food and the entertainment although that is also important. I am talking about making sure my house is ready to host a party. With all the trips to the store I like to make sure I am stocked up on the essentials that keep a house clean and functioning throughout the season. Costco is my one stop shop and saved me especially today! This season I stocked up on my favorite essentials like the Tide Pods and the Cascade Complete Action Pacs and I am so glad I did because when I woke up and looked outside this morning there was no way we were going to leave the house! The snow finally came and I am so glad that I am stocked up. Not only did I get home items that I am so glad I have I got food for a big crowd and even a few treats!

This year I will be hosting a Christmas party! I always like to play games as adults at the party even if it is as simple as a card game. I am all for rewarding the winner so this year I will be switching things up and giving more of a practical gift because this time of year I love getting practical gifts. I know that makes me sound like such an adult but even when I was growing up one of my favorite gifts was when Santa would bring me a little pack of things that yes I could go buy but they are just nice to not have to. So here is what I got to give to the winner:

Tide Pods
Holiday Blanket
Bows (for decoration)

The Tide Pods that I bought at Costco came in a box with 4 packs, so I took one out, put a cute glitter bow on it and added a festive blanket to go along with it! It is as simple as that.
What are some essentials you love to give around the holiday season? Be sure to head over to HERE to check out some more essentials.

I found all these items down the laundry and cleaning products isle at my local Costco.

  2. I love the idea of giving the gift of essentials. We certainly need these items and it's so handy to have extra, especially during the holidays. #client
