I am a succor for trail mix but I tend to pick at it and only eat the items I like. So I decided to make my own. After making my own I don't think I will ever buy my own trail mix again. Rob and I laid on the floor last night after dinner and enjoyed this little snack so I had to share it with you! Also, this will be perfect for our vacation to California THIS MONTH. We are so excited. I also got a few more treats together for our vacation that will be nice for the beach and the 13 hour drive. We have really been trying to eat healthy but it will still be nice to have some treats!

Toasted Coconut Flakes

That is it! There really isn't exact measurements and that's why I love to make my own, not to mention it is a lot cheaper. Since I obviously love the M&M's® plain in regular trail mixes, I might have added extra M&M's®. That's ok though right? We all know that is the best part of trail mix. What are your favorite things to add into your trail mix?

Although these treats are for my little family, this would be a perfect gift basket!

All I have gathered so far are M&M's® Peanut, Starburst® Minis Unwrapped, Starburst® Original, Life Savers® Hard Candy Variety and the trail mix. I just got all of these down the candy isle at Walmart. What are some other snacks you guys pack for road trips? I feel like planning ahead and being prepared with snacks won't be as expensive during the vacation, because lets be honest gas stations can be a little more expensive.
